I handed my business card to the pit orchestra at the Wicked show last night to try and get in touch with the trumpeter from the band. I would so love to do some pit work at somepoint.

I received notification today from uni, saying that I had achieved a  2:1 this year. Hopefully I can keep it up, or even better it next year.

Playing with Wakefield Met brass band at Blackpool winter gardens today was good fun! Shame the result didn't reflect on the amount of work that was put in. At least we all had a fun time.

Performing at Wakefield Cathedral was a very good experience for myself. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to play there again, however as a solo artist, rather than a trumpet trio.

 

13th February 2015

I have just performed in a Leeds College of Music lunchtime concert. I performed the "William Himes Flugel Concerto" in full, and on Cornet "Believe me if all those endearing young charms" arranged by Donald Hunsburger, and also the Charles Marshall song "I hear you calling me".

 

2nd February 2015

I received my results today achieving, a 1st in my trumpet trio exam, a 2:1 in my technical, and a 2:2 in my conducting. I am very happy with all of these, especially the 2:2 in the conducting module, as I only started conducting 5 months before the exam.

Due to the length of time it was taking to get to and from South Yorkshire Police Band, we have unfortunately had to leave. This is hopefully not a permanent thing, as I have really loved playing with the band. Best wishes, and good luck in the Championship section.

I return back to Leeds, eager to do my conducting exam, along with performance exams. Half way through uni now :)

I have just been signed to the South Yorkshire Police Brass Band, and to join them on their new challenge in the Championship Section from January 2015.
